Set near the famous Tarangire River, a fantastic location for game viewing from the lounge, Mbali Mbali Tarangire River Camp is an authentic safari experience under traditional canvas showcasing spacious views and enriching culture.
Set within a 25,000-hectare concession area, Mbali Mbali Tarangire River Camp is located 3.5 km from the main entrance of the Tarangire National Park, overlooking the Tarangire River.
The lodge consists of 21 furnished safari tents, all equipped with en-suite bathrooms and private veranda. Each tent has been built on a wooden platform allowing the movement of wildlife through the lodge, decreasing the interference with the ecosystem. Families can benefit further by being accommodated in one of the 4 Family Safari Tents.
This Eco-Friendly Camp uses solar hot water geysers, inverters with batteries, ensuring a low carbon footprint.
Day activities at the lodge include game viewing, bird watching on Lake Manyara, or cultural visits to the bomas of the Maasai and Datoga people. As a major congregation point of animal life, the river makes a unique attraction, featuring the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti. Tarangire is also the country’s bird and baobab paradise.

Mbali Mbali Tarangire River Camp is 2 hours or 120 kms from Arusha Town.
6 kms after leaving the main tar road from Arusha onto the dirt road towards the Park, you will find the sign on the right.
Follow the main bush road and signs to the camp for approximately 8 kms. The camp is situated opposite the Tarangire River.
