BASECAMP EXPLORER: WHERE THE AFRICAN SKY MEETS THE SAVANNAH

April 26, 2018

Basecamp Explorer's newest camp Leopard Hill, is an unparalleled spot of African scenery and comes with a unique feature.

The positioning of Leopard Hill, is what makes this camp truly remarkable, thanks to its location in the Mara Nabisho. Just a stone's throw from the nearest watering hole and situated beneath a huge double fig tree which draws the wildlife in.

Each of the 6 Manyattas elevated upon wooden decks have been designed with inspiration taken from local round Maasai houses. These tents offer an almost 360° views over the local waterholes and across the savannah into the distance.

Star Beds at Leopard Hill

What really makes Leopard Hill truly outstanding is their unique take on star beds.

Each tent has an adjustable motorised roof with an almost invisible mosquito net providing an unhindered view into the African night's sky, all from the comfort of your own bed.

Open all year round Leopard Hill is situated within an area that is restricted from the use of motorised vehicles meaning that guests can relax, unwind and enjoy the scenery of the expansive savanah, undisturbed.

With the awaited arrival of  'The Great Migration', one of the planet's greatest wildlife spectacles in Kenya from July - September, Leopard Hill will be within the midst of the migration corridor and offers the perfect viewing vantage.

Book your client's the ultimate escape today. Rates for Leopard Hill range from $330-$430pppn. This price includes full-board accommodation, mineral water, airstrip transfers and shared game drive safaris. Excludes park fees.
