Fam trip : Kafue National Park, September 2010

9 days, cost $600. REDUCED to $400. Visiting both northern and southern Kafue National Park, at Konkamoya, Nanzhila, Hippo, Mayukuyuku, Mukambi and Plains Camp Busanga. Whilst we can’t guarantee any specifics, we do try to visit locally competing lodges and camps, to allow you to compare and contrast.
Saturday 18th September
KONKAMOYA
Early morning departure from Lusaka airport to Pioneer for breakfast and a chance to freshen up for those who have had an overnight flight. Onwards to Konkamoya (6 Hours). Light lunch at Itezhi-Tezhi dam (around 15:00) and game drive to the lodge. Chance to freshen up, followed by afternoon game drive or evening drive before dinner. Dinner and overnight
Sunday 19th September
NANZHILA PLAINS SAFARI CAMP
Early morning game drive followed by breakfast and then transfer to Nanzhila (2 hours). Game drive to Nanzhila with lunch stop en route and afternoon game drive and sundowners at Nanzhila. Dinner and overnight
Monday 20th September
MAYUKUYUKU
After breakfast, transfer from Nanzhila to Mayukuyuku. Lunch and late afternoon boat trip. Dinner and overnight
Tuesday 21st September
BUSANGA PLAINS SAFARI CAMP
Early breakfast (06:00) and transfer to Mukambi for tour of the lodge. Transfer to Busanga Plains Camp (4 hours). Lunch and afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight
Wednesday 22nd September
BUSANGA PLAINS SAFARI CAMP
Early morning game drive. Visit the Wilderness camps. Lunch and afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Busanga Plains Camp
Thursday 23rd September
HIPPO LODGE
After breakfast drive to Lufupa. Visit Lufupa Lodge. Boat transfer at 10:30 to Hippo Lodge. Afternoon game drive. Experience the hot spring followed by a night drive. Dinner and overnight
Friday 24th September
PIONEER LODGE
Early morning game drive. Breakfast and then transfer by road to Lusaka (4 hours).Dinner and overnight at Kundalila.
Saturday 25th September
TRIP ENDS
Transfer to airport for early BA flight to the UK or other onward arrangements

Nanzhila PS Camp

Nanzhila can accommodate up to 8 guests in four well appointed thatched cottages. Built to make the most of the tranquil surroundings, they blend discreetly into the undergrowth without compromising the magnificent views in front of the lodge. The cottages are spacious, have en-suite facilities of hot shower and toilet and have been tastefully decorated.

Konkamoya
