Kafue Fam Trip
September 2012
12 days combining the best of what Kafue NP has to offer, then visiting Livingstone for Victoria Falls. The cost is £600* including all accommodation, ground transport (via 4x4, with driver) and park fees. (Ex-Lusaka, *assuming all places are filled).
Day 1 : Saturday 1st September: Pioneer Lodge
Arrive in Lusaka and overnight at Pioneer Lodge, just 25 mins from the airport..
Day 2 : Sunday 2nd September : Leopard Lodge
Early breakfast and then depart by road for Leopard Lodge (4 hours) Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight
Day 3 : Monday 3rd september : Leopard Lodge
Game drive to viewpoint on hill for sunrise. Breakfast followed by boat trip including fishing. Afternoon walking safari, with a visit to the hot springs. Dinner and overnight
Day 4 : Tuesday 4th September : Mayukuyku Camp
Breakfast followed by transfer to Mayukuyuku. Depending on water levels some of this may be by boat. After lunch there will be a boat safari from camp. Dinner and overnight
Day 5 : Wednesday 5th September : Mayukuyku Camp
Full day of game activities. Dinner and overnight
Day 6 : Thursday 6th September : KaingU River Lodge
Transfer to KaingU. Activities to include river boat safari and walk within the national park on the opposite bank.
Day 7 : Friday 7th September : KaingU River Lodge
Transfer to KaingU. Optional activities includung visit to the hide, cultural visits, the spiritual hill and canoeing on the Kafue.
Day 8 : Saturday 8th September : Konkamoya Camp
Early breakfast and then transfer to Konkamoya arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive or boat trip. Dinner and overnight.
Day 9 ; Sunday 9th September : Konkamoya Camp
Early morning game drive or walk followed by lunch. Time for relaxation or more activities in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight
Day 10 : Monday 10th September : Nanzhila Plains Safari Camp
Depart for Nanzhila. Game drive after lunch. Dinner and overnight
Day 11 : Tuesday 11th September : Nanzhila Plains Safari Camp
Full day of activities: Game drive, bush walk and night drive. Dinner and overnight
Day 12 : Wednesday 12th September ; Waterberry Zambezi Lodge, Livinsgtone
Early transfer to Waterberry. Option to visit Victoria Falls, Maramba market or the local village or simply relax at the lodge
