The newly refurbished and extended Pioneer Lodge now provides a delightful safari-style environment, within easy striking distance of Lusaka's international airport, helping guests to make the very most of safari trips.
Due to the arrival and departure times of international long-haul flights into Lusaka (just 14km or around 20 mins away), it is often essential to either start or end the trip with an overnight in the capital. Because of its delightful decor and friendly, genuine hospitality, Pioneer makes the most of every holiday moment. The lodge's staff are friendly, polite and helpful and will endeavour to make guests stays as comfortable and as relaxed as possible.

Pioneer Lodge offers nine individual thatched chalets and a beautiful 2-bedroomed cottage. Chalets range from simple stylish comfort to the highest luxury standards expected at any top safari lodge. All ensuite chalets also have verandahs with lovely woodland views, whilst offering excellent privacy.

Pioneer is set within 25 acres of miombo woodland which provides surprisingly good birdspotting. The lodge has its own recreational area with swimming pool as well as a residents-only thatched bar and restaurant. Pioneer provides the perfect place for starting or ending safari holidays.
