Mayukuyuku

Mayukuyuku Camp is one of those places that just feels right. With only three tents (set to be four in 2010), it has just the right mix of rustic charm, fabulous hospitality and exclusivity to make a stay here really special.
The camp is located on the southern edge of the Northern Sector of Kafue NP, just 8km from the Mongu road, giving it year round access. Situated close to the banks of the Kafue River, alongside a lightly wooded treeline, Mayukuyuku has magnificent views, both up and downstream.
The large shady trees and the river’s boulders and rock formations make relaxing days all the more enjoyable (especially with sundowners in hand!), but the area is rich in wildlife, so game viewing is a major attraction.
The guestbook is brimming with sightings, especially lions and leopards, with regular views of wild dog too. Part Zambian owned, Mayukuyuku has adopted an eco-friendly, community focused approach to tourism, to considerable success.
