Luangwa Wilderness Lodge

Luangwa Wilderness Lodge lies in the remote Zambian wilderness of the Luambe National Park. Sandwiched between North and South Luangwa National Parks, this unique slice of untouched Africa offers visitors the thrill of viewing herds of elephant and buffalo and prides of lion. It promises enchanting sightings of leopard, hippo and many other species of antelope and bird life.

Whilst it makes for a perfect stop-over between the two more well-known parks, it increasingly justifies a trip all of its own! The lodge nestles tranquilly on the banks of the Luangwa River, idyllically situated beneath large spreading Trichelia and African Ebony trees, and well off the beaten tourist track. Staying at Luangwa Wilderness Lodges also actively contributes to CCSC's programme to define Luambe National Park.

Activities

Helping in the National Park

Despite being relatively small Luambe Park offers a wide diversity of mammals, birds and reptiles. Besides twice-daily game drives, LWL offers individual night drives and guided walks. Luambe is especially good for leopards, civets and servals. A visit to the local village outside the park or a local school can be arranged.
