Ana Tree Lodge

NEWS UPDATE

Ana Tree Lodge will close in 2010 and the camp completely rebuilt. It will re-open in time for the 2011 season - with new accommodation units, new facilities and new camp-management - under the new name ZAMBEZI RIVER LODGE. The new property will be 4+ star and will be competively priced. The location will be unchanged (the camp will move forward just a few metres), so the prime benefit - that of outstanding game viewing - will be maintained.

Being one of only six properties actually inside the naional park (park fees included in price) this allows game driving throughout the area, as well as night drives and river boat trips. The game-viewing in the national park is excellent - and the area around he camp is no exception. Elephants and a leopard are regular visitors into the camp itself! A good variety of wildlife, including predators can be seen on game drives, whilst boat trips are a speciality - particularly fishing trips on the Zambezi.

Fishing at Ana Tree Lodge

Due to its location within the LZNP, wildlife is plentiful. Large herds of elephants frequently pass close by on their route to the river - in fact daily camp visitors are the norm! Fishing is a real treat, especially when the skillful Mubeen Zumla is in residence. And he'll tell you the fish above is a tiddler!
