Konkamoya Lodge, Kafue National Park

Cookes' African Safaris is a family run safari operation situated on the banks of Lake Itezhi -Tezhi in the southern areas of the unspoilt Kafue National Park.
Konkamoya, their intimate camp consists of just three chalets, sleeping six people and thus ensures a very personal experience for a nature lover, bird watcher or angler alike. Konkamoya - and the numerous safari activities that the Cookes offer from the lodge - is all about embracing nature. Here are some extracts from their website which sums up the mood......
"Hear the familiar cry of a fish eagle as it glides effortlessly over a mirror-still lake.
Groggy-eyed impala wake with relief, to have made it through another night. As the heat intensifies and sun approaches its peak, the animals move slowly towards the lake, zombie like and to a silent drum beat, they move in herds, cautiously, towards an even greater fate. Patiently awaiting them in the swaying grass… lies the true king".
