Uganda has ten national parks and several other wildlife and forest reserves that provides home to numerous mammal sincluding fourteen primate species. It is also superb for bird-watchers with over 1000 species recorded. This is attributed to it being a meeting point between the open savannahs of East Africa and the rainforests of West Africa.
