Mogotlho Lodge

Mogotlho - meaning 'camelthorn tree' and pronounced similar to "more-hoto", is owned and operated by Kgori Safaris. (There's a prize for the first UK tour operator who pronounces it correctly!)
This existing lodge, located directly on the Kwai River, has recently been bought by Asante Sana - who also operate Mankwe Lodge and Mboma Island.
The Kwai River area, within Moremi, is rich with wlidlife, so the focus here is on game-driving. This said, with a salty waterhole and the river itself immediately in front of the lodge's viewing platform, it means that the game often comes to the guests!
Mogotlho, when combined with Mankwe (just 25km away) and Mboma, provides the excuse for staying just a little bit longer in this delightful area.

Accommodation

Mogotlho has eight tents, using canvas onto a permanent base / structure. In the medium term, the owners will replace these concrete bases with tents built onto raised wooden platforms - as per Mankwe. The accommodation is of a high standard, offering comfort and style, with a superb VFM tariff.

Activities

Due to its location, Mogotlho provides a perfect location for game viewing in the vast stretch of lands that link Chobe, Savute, Moremi and into the Okavango Delta itself. As you'd expect this means that sightings are plentiful. This region of Botswana offers arguably the best wildlife veiwing in the whole of Africa.
